Google Assistant: AuTOMOTIVE
Our team aimed to reimagine the hands-free Google Assistant experience on mobile. We believed that more people could benefit from a faster, frictionless, and more proactive conversational helper.
Starting with a focus on drivers and a hands free experience in the vehicle, I led UX within a product team to create a version of Assistant on mobile that was efficient, powerful, and proactive.
Role & contributions
I led UX design from concept to launch, working closely with product management and engineering to scope features and define our roadmap. I also worked closely with other cross-PA design teams, collaborated closely with research, and presented work when decisions were needed by leads in order to move forward.
My work included:
Defining roadmap and scope
Presenting work to leads to get alignment and drive consensus
Interaction design work
Iterative testing and rapid prototyping
Designing within NHTSA guidelines and evaluating against them
